'my ec story' featuring shaswata ghosh
CGI Head - CYLNDR
Why cylndr? first impression intact?
If I could answer as if I were new at CYLNDR, I'd probably say it was the creative atmosphere, the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team, and the studio's reputation for pushing boundaries in storytelling and design that drew me in. There's something special about working with people who bring such dedication and skill to every project.
My first impression is holding up quite well, it's a mix of excitement and respect for the team, especially considering the high level of talent and dedication. The collaborative environment, along with the passion for pushing creative and technical limits, has definitely made a strong impression on me. Every project would feel like an opportunity to learn and contribute something meaningful.
your journey to becoming cgi head at cylndr?
While I was in London for CGI work, I was contacted by HR for this role, thanks to a recommendation from an old friend, Bijal Majithia. After a few HR rounds, I had meetings with Meera and Umesh. The discussions went well, and I joined the team after returning from London.
one life moment that shaped you?
Not just one moment, but many small ones. Navigating daily interactions, making new friends, and overcoming challenges independently taught me resilience, adaptability, and empathy. It broadened my perspective, showing me the richness of diverse cultures and the shared humanity that connects us all, regardless of background. This experience deeply influenced how I approach problems, embrace diversity, and interact with others, fostering a sense of openness and curiosity that continues to shape my personal and professional life.
In recounting such an experience, it becomes clear how stepping out of one's comfort zone can foster growth and transform perspectives.
